Clean Water Systems

For the past 7 years Louder Than Words Ministries has facilitated the construction of approximately 5 potable water systems in the mountains of rural Honduras.  We are currently exploring new avenues of water system construction through SANAA (The National Water Authority in Honduras).  We currently have a completed water system study through SANAA for one of our Lenca villages.  Now on to the fun part . . . raising funds to complete the system!
 

Below are a few of the reasons we do water in Honduras:

  • It is estimated that roughly 80% of all diseases in the world are associated with contaminated water
  •  In Central America and the Caribbean, these water borne diseases are the second leading cause of death in children under the age of five
  • In Honduras, more than 20% of those living in rural areas of the country do not have clean drinking water
